We told you last month that we were thrilled to have been selected to pitch to the amazing Funding Network Festive Connector on 3rd December ... well it surpassed our dreams and the amazing group of philanthropists and donors there doubled our target and raised over £21,000 for us!
The first good news of the month was a terrific grant of £25,000 from the Postcode Society Trust that was made possible thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
We were delighted with the turnout and publicity we received for our Golden Steps 5k New Forest Walk in September – it was a tremendous success! The weather was kind to us and it was great that some of our Outreach clients joined us.
Hammersley Homes is hosting our first-ever charity walk, the Golden Steps Walk! This family-friendly event aims to raise awareness about mental illness and provide vital support to those experiencing isolation. We welcome participants of all ages and abilities.
Our outreach volunteers are the heart of our charity, without their generosity and kindness we would not be able to offer such an amazing service to our members.
We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our amazing Outreach Programme! Thanks to the generous support of the National Lottery Community Fund, we have recently welcomed two fantastic new Outreach Home Visitors to the team.
We had an amazing time at the Student Volunteer Fair on Wednesday 15th February, organised by the Bournemouth University Students Union.
Hammersley Homes' 2024 goal: This year we aim to host more fundraising events and concentrate our funding on working towards building our first Hammersley Home. What's yours?
We celebrate our volunteers here at Hammersley Homes at every opportunity, but the importance of volunteers across the globe came into focus for Louise during her frightful experience of the earthquakes that took place in Morocco in September.
