Summer Fundraiser Success

Our June Music Fundraising Weekend was a huge success, raising £42,000 to be split between Hammersley Homes and another amazing local charity, the CODA Music and Arts Trust.
In each of the last few years, Hammesley Homes has been welcomed into local resident Amanda Mann’s lovely gardens at Kingfishers which is tucked on the edge of the Solent, offering stunning views across the water.
This summer, our fundraising weekend coincided with the summer solstice and Father’s Day, making the weekend extra special. We held two events, one on the 20th, an afternoon of folk music, and one on the 21st, opera in the garden.
On Saturday the 20th Soprano Elle Laugharne, mezzosoprano Hanna Hip, baritone Mark Stone, tenor Colin Judson, and pianist Richard Black performed from the balconies and patio of the house in the warmth of the setting sun. Then on Sunday the 21st the Cosimo Matassa Project enchanted the crowd with their warm folk-style charm.
The weekend was in support of Hammersley Homes and CODA Music and Arts Trust, another Lymington charity. CODA Music and Arts Trust is a charity making music and art accessible to vulnerable adults and children and provides creative therapeutic services.
Both events were roaring successes with around 400 guests across the two events. In total, the weekend raised over £42,000 for both charities. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and team that made this event possible.
The money raised for Hammersley Homes will support our outreach services for vulnerable individuals suffering with severe mental illnesses and get us one step closer to reaching our long-term goal of opening our first fully-supported home for those suffering from enduring mental illnesses.
