Stars for Hammersley Homes
by Rebekah Harley
The Southampton Mental Health Network has given ‘Stars for Stars’ awards to both Hammersley Homes and our founder Louise Hallett.
The charity The Southampton Mental Health Network, as a part of their quarterly awards, have awarded both Hammersley Homes and our founder Louise Hallett their ‘Stars for Stars’ award.
The Southampton Mental Health Network is a charity that aims to make the local area more supportive of mental health. Every quarter they present their ‘Stars for Stars’ awards in which they recognise charities, organisations, and individuals in and around Southampton who are contributing to mental wellbeing support, awareness, and positivity.
For us, this award celebrates the impact, value, and reach of our dedication and effort in supporting those with severe mental illnesses and their loved ones. What’s more, as these awards are nominated by the community, it’s a real honour to be recognised by the public for the impact made by Hammersley Homes and Louise.
They have individually honoured our founder, Louise Hallett, for establishing Hammersley Homes, demonstrating her significant work supporting those with severe mental illnesses. Since the beginning, Louise has worked tirelessly to further the reach and impact of support for vulnerable adults with persistent mental illnesses. Following the news of the award, Louise said she is ‘absolutely over the moon’ and that it ‘means so much to me and Hammersley Homes.’
Thank you to all those who have generously contributed to make the work of Hammersley Homes possible and fill a great need in society. Only by the support and hard work of so many have we been recognised for such an award.
Heartened by such recognition, we will continue to support those with severe mental illnesses and their carers, and work towards the vision of long-term housing solutions.
