Hammersley Homes, the Hampshire-based charity supporting vulnerable adults living
with enduring serious mental illness, will be promoting its Building Hope, Brick by Brick
theme at the New Forest Show from July 28 to July 30.

Located in the trades stands area, the charity will offer visitors a chance to take part in
Lego challenges, including a guessing game where visitors estimate how many Lego
bricks are in a jar, with an iconic Lego house from the film Home Alone as the prize.
Louise Hallett, founder of Hammersley Homes, said: “Our theme this year is Building
Hope, Brick by Brick, because that’s exactly how we’re building our future, one
supporter, one volunteer and one Lego brick at a time.

“Our outreach service is just the beginning, our real ambition is a lasting community of
fully supported homes, where the adults we work with can live with dignity, friendship
and round-the-clock care for life.”

Hammersley Homes will also use the event to recruit volunteers.

The charity supports adults living with enduring mental ill-health across the New
Forest, Southampton, and Winchester.

Volunteers contribute to home visits, telephone support, community sessions,
administration, and fundraising.
