It was the end of a long journey for me. On the 21st January 2015, I was formally discharged from the care of my local Community Mental Health Team. It was a journey that had started back in 1996.
As part of our Big Give Campaign this week, where all donations are doubled at no cost to you through the Christmas Challenge, we spoke to a doctor about how people end up in hospital when they reach crisis point with the symptoms of their mental illness.

As part of our Halloween celebrations, we embarked on a pumpkin-themed adventure with some of our Outreach clients. Whilst the pumpkin pyramid and spooky skeletons might have sent a shiver down their spines, they had a brilliant time exploring the local community and spending time with our lovely volunteers.
On 9th October, volunteer Pedro Feitor ran a half marathon to raise valuable funds for Hammersley Homes. Bryan Woods recently spoke to Pedro about his amazing achievement.
