Beacons Way Wales

Angus Cadwallader walking the 100 mile Beacons Way

Angus is one of our most loyal volunteers – he’s done some valuable research for us and written some excellent blog posts which are on our BLOG page.   We are enormously grateful to him for his ongoing support.

“Next week I’ll be walking 100 miles solo from Abergavenny to Llandeilo along The Beacons Way in support of the supported-housing charity, Hammersley Homes.

Those of us who know someone who lives with a severe and enduring mental illness, know how painful, distressing and emotionally draining this condition can be, not only for the person but for their family and friends as well.

Without long-term support and accommodation, many people in this group are at risk of falling through the cracks in society and becoming hospitalised, homeless or unfairly imprisoned.

Hammersley Homes aims to provide a safety net for this group by offering them a permanent home where they can be supported with anything they may be struggling with.

Donations will go toward their Outreach Programme and also to the creation of their first supported house.

The charity is fairly new, so any donation will make a huge difference to what they are able to achieve.

Thank you!

Angus”

Please support Angus in this tremendous effort he’s making for us. Thank you.
